The article “the effects of class size on student achievement: new evidence from population variation” is an opinion piece written by Caroline Hoxby in 2000 about class reduction. Hoxby is an economist and professor at Stanford university who has published several papers on economics and different aspects in education. The articles main argument is that reduction of class size has a very small effect (2-4%) on academic achievement in school.
