Arroyo Fresco is a community health center that serves the Western Arizona from at least 11 clinics and four mobile service vans. The health center offers patients with high quality primary care and the preventive services which they are able to pay. The AF normally serves three counties including Yuma, La Paz and Mohave with both the diverse population and needs. The barrier care their particularly deal with are either imposed by the geography, culture or the income. This is associated with the lower standards of preventing screening and lack of efficiency and management of the chronic diseases. Most of the patients in the AF suffer from diabetes. There also experience chronic health problems such as asthma, depression, obesity and the cardiovascular diseases. The organization faces challenges such as the competitive environment.
