As a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), there are certain roles and responsibilities that must be carried out (Cooper, 2011). By complying with certain legislations and conducts, it ensures that these responsibilities are met. It also improves communication within the Veterinary team as well as with clients. This all contributes to the decision making process when faced with an ethical dilemma.
In the following case study the RVN takes home a healthy 2 year old cat, upon learning it was to be euthanised due to inappropriate elimination.
