On 10-03-2015 at 2018 hours I responded to 599 Pine (Casey 's) in reference to counterfeit bills. Upon arriving I made contact with Store Manager Laura Isaac and Officer Woodruff. While Isaac was pulling up surveillance footage she explained that a female had attempted to pay for gas and other items with a counterfeit twenty dollar bill. I seized the note, it has been entered into evidence as #18596. Isaac also explained that the female arrived in a vehicle which she described as a grey short cab dodge truck.
On September 8, 2015, at approximately 12:52 PM I, Deputy Ragsdale, was contacted by Captain Tucker to call Michael Holcombe in reference to a theft. I then contacted Michael Holcombe on Wood County cell two. He told me that his daughter was renting a house at 116 Oak Street, Yantis, Texas from Margi Halfcox, suspect. Michael Holcombe told me that he let his daughter borrow his riding lawn mower. He then advised me that his daughter was moving out of that residence.
The district attorney requested a copy of the video from the "Starbucks" where the original theft of the credit cards occurred, as well as a copy of the video from the USA gas station where the card was used. Additionally requested was a copy of the victim 's credit card statement. INVESTIGATION:
Alice Odom walked into the Gautier Police Department to report that someone had rifled through her vehicle, 1997 Mercedes and took $50.00. Odom said that there were four vehicles parked in the yard of her residence at 3140 Breakwater Dr. All four of the vehicles were rifled through, but Odom only had money taken from one of the vehicles. The incident happened between 8:00 p.m on 10/03/2016 and 5:15 a.m. on 10/04/2016.

Upon arrival I located the complainant Michele Turner inside the Shell station sitting at a small table on the North wall of the building just inside the door. Michele Turner appeared to be intoxicated upon my arrival and displayed multiple signs of intoxication throughout the process of conducting my investigation. On October 09th, 2015 at approximately 5:30 PM, I, Investigator James Poffel was the on-call investigator and was contacted by dispatch in reference to responding to The Days Inn for a call of a kidnapping that patrol officers were out on. Officer Wilkins was the officer originally dispatched to t hat location and was on-scene awaiting my arrival. I spoke with Officer Wilkins while I was en route to his location. Officer Wilkins informed me they were sent to The Days Inn, room #104, at 900 S 32nd St to check the welfare of a subject by the name of Kayla Blevins. Dispatch received the call from Kayla’s grandmother, advising Kayla was being held at that location against her will, for a $1,000.00 ransom.
On Sunday, November 22, 2015 at about 1707 hours while present at group 31 office, I reviewed the arrest reported K15688171-J pertaining to Mr. Marcos Acosta. The following information was disclosed; On November 20, 2015 at about 1848 hours, Mr. Acosta was arrested and charged with the following; Petit Larceny, PL 155.25 and Crim Possession Of Stolen Property, PL 165.40. The facts which give rise to this matter are as follows: Agnes Thompson, 74 year old, accused John Smith of stealing her mail and opening several accounts using her personal information and social security number. Mr. Smith allegedly stole Ms. Thompson’s mail in order to commit identity fraud; subsequently, the police arrested Mr. Smith was arrested in June of 2015. Later, the Federal District Court in Toledo tried Mr. Smith in August of 2015.
On this date worker visited Mr. Johnny Hyde at Devita Dialysis Clinic, for the purpose of informing Mr. Hyde the department had received his bank statements from First Bank of Jasper. Mr. Hyde wanted to know what charges showed and worker explained to Mr. Hyde the multiply charges on the account that matched with Mr. Joey Hunt's Facebook home page. Mr. Hyde stated, "I knew he stole my money and I want him arrested. " Worker explained she would give the information to Walker County Police Department.
