Those same people also have a greater chance of committing a crime. Casino gambling should be prohibited for the people, their best interest, and their community. Gambling has many terrible consequences. The consequences are mostly to the addicts family.However, after they go to the casino to gamble and they do it so often that they end up in bankruptcy.They end up with no money to feed their kids and no money for rent.In the more popular counties their bankruptcy rate rose due to people …show more content…
Addicts can destroy themselves without anyone having the chance to stop them or to help them . The National Academies of Science found that pathological gamblers get into a destructive behavior so they won't have to stop gambling. Property crimes, auto thefts are likely to increase. Since they have financial problems they most likely to turn to some illegal activities as a way to pay off their debts and support their habit of gambling. They commit crimes, run up large debts, and they damage relationships not only with their family but also with their friends. When it becomes a very serious matter they believe they can't get out of it and some end up committing suicide. They dont realize that their loved ones are the ones that are going to pay for their tragedies. However, some may do it for fun once in a while and not become an addicted. Those people have the power to control themselves.However, think off all of the consequences and tragedies that happen when they become addicted.Wasting a lot of money that can be useful for something else, becoming addicted, and committing crimes.
