There are many different types of addiction that people become dependent on and they are devoted to it. There are 2 main categories of addiction, which are substance-related addiction and behavioral or process addictions. Depression is not the only mental disease that can cause from alcohol abuse another big disease that occurs is having an anxiety disorder. Social isolation is when a person who is alone is drinking and misusing alcohol. The Mayo Clinic believes that the abuser is doing it alone because he/she does not want others to know that he/she is drinking or he/she feels that people around her do not accept his/hers drinking resulting in hiding.
