The topic of contraception has always been a big debate between many people that come from all walks of life. There are some people who are fully against the idea, some that are fully for the idea, and many in between. I will discuss what the Roman Catholic Church’s views are on contraception, peoples personal accords, and my personal opinion and what believe the church should do. Condoms are used for more than just preventing pregnancy. Condems are also the best way to protect yourself from the various types of STDs that you could acquire while having intercourse of any type. One of the most controversial form of birth control is the morning after pill. The morning after pill is a pill that you can take within five days of having unprotected sex. Its goal is to stop any pregnancy that may have begun already. The catholic church is against this form for obvious reasons, it is similar to abortion in a sense. They say that if a pregnancy has already started that you should not end it because that is murder. Even if there is only a chance that a baby might have already begun to grow inside the mother. Withdrawal is also another slightly controversial method of contraception. Withdrawal is controversial purely for its success rate. If done properly, it has a 100% success rate, but most people do not do it properly, and that is what causes many pregnancies while using this method.
