9/11 and the Effect of Racism on Muslims Lao Tuz once said, “Love is of all passions the strongest, for it attacks simultaneously the head, the heart and the senses”(2006, BrainQuote). When 9/11 struck, people were hurt and dying, but the love they had for other people made them want to survive. Sadly, a lot of them couldn’t make it out. The 9/11 attacks on U.S. territorial and federal buildings was taken out by al-Qaeda, the terrorist organization that caused a war between Afghanistan, also one of the first wars that started with a terrorist attack. The racism that the Muslim and other religions skyrocketed after the 9/11 attacks, calling them terrorist, suicide bombers, and other nasty language towards the Muslim community especially. 9/11 was an awful thing that happened to both. Also, it had an enormous amount of racism to innocent immigrants and made Muslims and other Arabic countries lose their jobs, harm or death, and so much more. When 9/11 happened on September 11, 2001, it was a tragic and morbid event that sent shockwaves around the whole world. The terrorist group was also a victim, they were treated horribly by the Americans during the Persian Gulf war against Israel, and wanted revenge. The events that happened inside of the towers are ghastly and what those men did to more than 2000 people, is just awful. Even innocent muslim lives were being treated like terrorists and Americans being racist to them. Moses and pharaoh is a similar bible story that what happened on September 11, 2001.
