December 7th, 1941 the Imperial Japanese Navy air service bombed the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The military action was a surprise attack on the Americans. The action leads the United States into World War II, but this offense also triggered many different things. The Japanese Navy plan was to attack the United States and its allies to prevent an attack the United States had planned in southeast Asia. The Japanese attacks lasted seven hours with many different locations and sights intended to be the target. The offense started early in the morning and damaged many ships during the extended period of the action. This attack dumbfounded many Americans because the countries were in peace talks at the time. But this was a war crime, and the attack leads to the largest wars in American History. This was the first time that the United States was attacked on its soil by a foreign body since the early 1900’s. Another incident that was a surprise on the United States was the World Trade Center attack on September 11th, 2001. This attack was honored by the Islamic State of Terror and sometimes called the new Pearl Harbor. On this day many innocent American lives were lost over a short period. The attacks killed 2,996 people, injured over 6,000 others, and caused at least $10 billion in infrastructure and property damage. Two planes crashed into the trade center towers in New York city while one plane crashed into the Pentagon and another one was brought down. These aircraft were hijacked by Islamic terrorist and deliberately flown to these locations to cause harm to the American people. Many were wondering who planned these attacks and why.
