Gun shows can indeed bring forth safety concerns with misfires due to human error. While gun shows permit the illegal obtainment of guns through private owners, there is a simple solution to ceasing this issue through background checks
Gun violence among youths residing on the South side of Chicago is the number one problem facing the city of Chicago. Each year more than 500 people are killed as a result of gun violence among Chicago youths. This problem has caused financial constraints on the city. The Bill of Rights is something the American people hold close to them, especially their right to bear arms. Recently there has been a lot of debate over implementing gun regulations without infringing on the rights of the people. While a position of this is expressed in Wayne LaPierre’s “Universal Background Checks Mean Gun Registration, Gun Bans and Confiscation”, Jeffrey Toobin’s “So You Think You Know the Second Amendment” provides a more valid position evaluating the issue of gun control. Universal background checks are a big discussion lately in our country’s current climate.
Strict regulations and limitations have been pursued already and clearly do not suffice. Statics brought to attention by gun control opponents, show that gun control laws have done little to reduce crime rates. Several restrictions have been made on certain guns, considered as overly dangerous, though in the hands of an unstable criminal even a legal hunting gun can be deadly. Countless restrictions have been made, however people have still found ways around them. If people are unstable and determined enough, they will find a gun, regardless of the restrictions or regulations.
Conservative gun-rights advocates should acknowledge that if more states had a stringent universal background check, or if a federal law put these in place, more guns would be kept out of the hands of criminals and the mentally unstable (Goldberg). Even though Americans who are qualified to possess firearms shouldn't be denied the right to participate in their own defense. Guns can be used to do evil, but guns can also be used to do good (Goldberg). It’s important that people know this concept and how guns should be
In the past few years, security and safety has been a national concern for many of us. In recent years, there has been an increase in car shootings. Drive-by shooting originated when assailants would ride up to their targets on horseback, shoot them with there pistols and then ride off before they could be apprehended. But in modern time, it 's much more deadly and frequent. People suggest that gun violence is rising because of gang violence and copycat shooter.
The United States should enact federal legislation to require background checks for all gun transfers. Mandating checks for gun transfers will prevent the mentally ill and criminals from accessing guns, respect the Second Amendment, and reduce the amount of gun violence in the U.S.
In some states revenue at gun suggests, between contributors or by way of the web can effect within the gun being bought to a prohibited character considering no background examine is required. Regrettably, what happens in Indiana does no longer keep in Indiana and these guns can pass via a straw purchase into our state. This can be a colossal loophole within the federal law and it wishes to be fixed. The repair is simple.
A halt could be put on a lot of this by just tightening up loopholes in the system of buying guns and making stricter background checks when buying guns and clips to go in people’s guns; especially large round magazines or clips. Making stricter background checks will make mass shootings a lot less likely. If the criminal gets someone else to buy the gun for them, the person buying it might not do it for the criminal because he knows he is more likely to get caught now with the stricter background checks. As of now, under Federal Law, you only have to do background checks on people that buy a firearm if they buy it through a dealer. You can buy a gun offline or at a gun show or a private individual without having to get anything.
With irresponsible gun owners and weak gun restrictions, the likelihood of an undiagnosed psychopath to purchase an automatic rifle and unload it on a public audience skyrockets. My proof of gun control’s effectiveness lies in the Pacific Ocean: Australia. Ever since their first major shooting, they refused to sell any more guns and offered a buyback to each citizen; ever since this law was put into place in 1996 after the Port Arthur incident, their collective death toll from massacres never reached anywhere close to our annual amount. Those who believe a black market will still dominate need to consider the real issue at stake here: the government is legally distributing them with a rather simple set of tasks to
Gun violence accounts for a significant portion of deaths each year, approximately 30,000 people in the United States (American Public Health Association, 2017). Gun deaths affects everyone; the victims, families, society, as well as healthcare. Health Affairs released a study showing that from 2006 to 2014 cost associated with gunshot wounds totaled $2.9 billion in emergency department charges alone, and $22 billion for inpatient care (Johnson, 2017). Those numbers do not include follow-up and rehabilitative care.

On the time the person is going to robber the money at some store use her gun to threaten the store and give them the money. Sometimes the person who works in the store don’t want to give the money so the robber ends up making the mistake
According to the ATF, there are approximately 55,000 licensed gun dealers in the US plus 8,000 pawn shops with licenses to sell them. With so many stores to sell these guns, it makes it almost impossible to control them each. Who knows how many of these stores lets anyone get away with a gun without a license or background checks. This goes into the idea that these shop owners should also go through a background check and license renewal every year or so, to guarantee genuineness. Not only is it the type of situation which can’t be cured entirely, it can be slowed down, which is why we need better precautions for people buying these
If I could take up a cause it would be gun violence. I chose gun violence as a cause I would like to fight against because a lot of people are killing each other using guns, some people even shoot people just because they want to they don't even have a reason, like for example when people do drive bys they don't care who else gets hurt as long as they get the loved ones of the person that got them messed up they kill innocent people and I'm tired of that because one of these days I could be at the wrong place at the wrong time and I could probably be the one to get shot because I walk home every day and in the neighborhood that we live in I risk my life every single day just for me to get home. I would want for people to be harder to get a
