Humans are all different; we all react differently in situations whether they’re similar situations or different. Some people react similar but no one reacts the same way to a tragedy. Some mourn in their depressive state and some just deny the pain. Others like the lover of Annabel Lee can never get over the tragedy of their loss because there will always be something that reminds them of it, such as the moon bringing dreams to Edgar Allan Poe. Tragedies can sometimes bring the worst out of people, and in other cases, they bring out the best or the most unselfish version of the person who’s suffered through the tragedy. People try to keep peace and maintain order while the tragedy happens, such as Oskar Schindler; “I have tried and risked everything to acquire additional food for you in the past, and I pledge to continue putting everything on the line to protect you and provide you with your daily bread.” Some people say that “tragedy is never a welcomed guest” and they are right. But when tragedy does occur, people learn to appreciate those things they have, they miss the things they lost and they hope for their return.
