The conflict between these two families is so distasteful that it causes Romeo and Juliet even more of a struggle as they try to find and keep their love. This conflict between the Capulets and the Montagues has been going on for a very long time and neither side is willing to make up for whatever may have happened in the past. Because of this a strong dislike is portrayed when someone sees a person from the opposite side. If the family feud wouldn’t have existed Romeo and Juliet would not have any large reason to hide their relationship.
