Even though the Unions rules regarding seniority has nothing to do with race it can still be viewed as a form of institutional racism against African Americans, because the union is majority is white. Therefore whites are going to have more power when it comes to making decisions then what African It’s not fair for African Americans because they are the minority not the majority so their chances of having sonority are slim because there will always be someone in front of them. Also the unions predominantly white so the rule of seniority and ability to make decisions sway in their favor, not the African Americans.

The Medical Mistreatment of African Americans throughout History Throughout history, African Americans have been exploited not only through hard labor, but in research facilities and hospitals. African Americans have been tested on, abused, and researched without their consent, knowledge, nor full-understanding. Many times they were given false information to rationalize what was happening to them. African Americans were also not administered anesthetics while undergoing surgeries and other painful procedures.
In the words of Martin Luther King Jr., “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character” (I Have a Dream speech ). Even today, African Americans are still treated unequally among other races. For example, African-Americans have a hard time finding a job such as not being qualified because of the color of their skin. Through this reading and the documentary movie that we have watched, it is not hard to figure out how both external and internal factors that formed his personalities. The external factor definitely took a vital part of this formation, since the environment back into that time was hard for African American musicians to gain their rights, and there were so many inequalities existed in the society. The movie clearly exposes the many ways that the human dignity of African- American maids was ignored. They had suffered daily embarrassment but were able to claim their own way dignity. The film described about empowerment of individuals as well as about social justice for a group. It is a moving story depicting dehumanization in a racist culture but also the ability to move beyond the unjust structures of society and to declare the value of every human being.
Black women are treated less than because of their ascribed traits, their gender and race, and are often dehumanized and belittled throughout the movie. They are treated like slaves and are seen as easily disposable. There are several moments throughout the film that show the racial, gender, and class inequalities. These moments also show exploitation and opportunity hoarding. The Help also explains historical context of the inequality that occurred during that time period.

Similar people in majority have their own principles, and when someone different interferes, they simply try to push it out. These people think that the minorities are their inferior. This belief is known as racism.
