Was Militarism the main outbreak of World war one? Introduction: There were many causes of WWI as it was a very brutal time period. World War I is also known to be “ The Global War” which lasted for four years and three months. It started June 28th, 1914 and ended November 11th, 1918. The war generated murder and misunderstanding by aggression, anger, violence, and antagonism which alarmed other countries and pressured them to join this barbarous time period. While many say that militarism was the cause of WWI, it was not the only reason. Most importantly the damage it has created.There were other additional reasons to WWI. This usually leads to disagreement, intimidation, invasion, and threats. When WWI was announced lots of nations decided to throw parades with cars and marching bands and music. This triggered the other countries which then led to negativity and disagreement. Bosnia has been hungry for the branch out from Germany, people wanted to celebrate and create a parade. " Bosnian nationalism was so intense that some sought any means in which to bring it about including the assassination of public officials in order to increase international awareness of their cause. When the Black Hand assassinated the Archduke it set off a firestorm of intense nationalism in all European countries which were now ready to prove that their nation was superior to others."This created lots of confusion and chaos. In conclusion: Referring back to the question "Was Militarism the main outbreak of World war one?" There is no right or wrong answer. In my opinion, I believe Militarism and Alliances are the two main reasons. To conclude, I strongly believe that WWI was one life-changing, weapon changing, government changing experience! Over 16.5 people died in WW1, people's lives were changed forever. I believe that Militarism is the main cause of WW1 if no countries started building up armies or navies none of this would have
