The Red Scare, and 9-11 had a lot of tragic events. The Red Scare occurred because of the fear of communism in the Unites States during 1919-20. America was afraid that of plotting in a revolution. On 9-11 The terrorist did not have the ability to destroy the united states military so they set their targets on symbolic targets instead , destroying both the twin towers, killing and injuring thousands of people. During the Red Scare on September 1920, on Wall Street a bomb exploding and killing 38 people, another bomb destroyed A Mitchell Palmers, and Attorney General home.

During the Red Scare in the 20th century, there was mass hysteria. It was an era full of accusations and panic, much like "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller. The Red Scare was essentially a bombardment of accusations. McCarthyism was abundant and people were accusing eachother of being communists, or "commies" in fear that was motivated by the war. Similiarly, during the Salem Witch Trials in "The Crucible", the townspeople began to accuse eachother of witchcraft.

Many people were saying that they were anti communists, and if you were had different opinions on that kind of matter then you were seen as a radical. In this time there was a case where Julien and Ethel Rosenberg was accused of being a spy for the Soviet Union. With all this hysteria already going on people started to point fingers at them. Even though there was no evidence of Ethel involvement in being a spy.
They were scared they were going to lose it all and specific politicians who were considered demigods. This Red Scare was much more bigger than the first one was originally. In the 1920’s, you had the Red Scare include the Bolshevik revolutions that were taking place all across the United States throughout the different lines of work. Imagine running through the streets observing people weep and yell, the twin towers perish before them. Every ten seconds another horn beeps loudly to get the attention of those that are in a trance. Now, envision children alone or with family because their dad was a firefighter hastily rushing into the East tower to save those that were in the building.
