The murder of Caylee Anthony happened in 2008, she was declared missing on July 15, 2008. On December 11, 2008 remains of what looked like to be a child was found in a swamp half a mile away from the Anthony residence. After undergoing investigation and examination on the remains it was determined the remains were indeed Caylee Anthony’s. Her skeletal remains were scattered and the medical examiner was unable to determine the cause of death due to their conditions. Different weather location conditions can cause different reactions to occur to the remains. Police usually call the dumping of a body is a different place than the person was killed, a dump job. This loss happens because of the feeding of maggots and the purging of decomposition fluids into the surrounding environment. The ending of the active decay process is the migration of maggots away from the body to pupate. Advanced decay is when the remains is located on soil, the area surrounding it will show evidence of vegetation death. Dry/ remains is when the body shows portions of the bones because the soft tissue is removed from the cadaver. This process is referred to as partially skeletonize. Caylee M.
