Introduction
Colorado Children’s hospital is a non-profit organization that provides pediatric healthcare services at many locations across the Denver-Aurora metropolitan area. The hospital boasts having over three thousand pediatric experts, sixteen locations in Colorado and over a hundred years of experience in treating children. Some of the services offered include digestion issues, respiratory issues, cancer treatment, endocrinology, bone and joint care, fetal care and heart health. Since its incorporation in 1908, the hospital has continued healing kids and pioneering treatments in pediatric field. It puts children health at the forefront as the main objective. The vision statement shows a clear direction of where the hospital is aiming and going and what they expect as their objectives. All staff at CCH is dedicated to achieving the goals outlined in the vision statement; the hospital has taken measures to maintain and develop their services using this vision statement as a motivator for both patients and the staff. The staffs also stand by their values in everything they do. The hospital partners with the family doctor or the child’s pediatrician, to achieve integration in care provided to children. For instance, there is outstanding artworks and recognition of family as part of the hospital’s accommodation. The hospital is home to Centre of Gait and Movement analysis that is the second lab to offer movement analysis worldwide. Movement analysis helps experts fine tune best possible course of treatment through motion-capture technology, kinetics, and electromyography. The hospital has the highest-level trauma capabilities in the region. Further, it ranked nationally in nine out ten pediatric specialties by the US News and World Report. Other awards include the 2017 Most Wired Survey and the American Hospital Association-McKesson Quest for Quality. These are attributed with high quality patient care and an experienced, effective team. It has also achieved Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which is the highest distinction granted by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
