Many people’s lives are and will be injured by bias in court rooms. Is similar to how bias is used in the Flawed. Cecelia Ahern’s use of bias in the Flawed damages people is similar to the bias in court rooms of modern day.
The bias that is seen in Flawed damage people similar to bias in courtrooms by incorrectly convicting and accusing people. Mr. Berry was talking to Celestine about the trial and says, “You’re a poster girl for the Guild, you’re a poster girl for the Anti-Guild, you’re a poster girl for the clothes you’re about to wear …” (Ahern 69). Mr. Berry was trying to get Celestine to realize whatever she does people will be on top of it and will want whatever Celestine wears and same experiences as her. This can be damaging because if the clothes she wears will be used to describe her in newspapers, television commercials, and magazines. The awful descriptions are made to make the reader or listener to be against the person. Then if we apply this to Celestine then we get more bias because then you get the bias of the people working with you.
