One does not need to seek guidance from experts or others because one must make their own mistakes so they can learn and improve on said mistakes. Specifically, one should seek guidance from oneself to help them know where they are going in life, assume responsibility, and be informed of one’s decision making and its effects. Maas, Celaena Sardothein, the main character, goes on several journeys that her complete her ultimate goal. In the beginning, Celaena wanted to become the most feared and powerful assassin in Adarlan, the kingdom she resides in. The most important journey she goes on to reach her goal, was when she was in Skulls Bay, a slave trading port. Celaena, when she first arrived at the port, was completely oblivious to the fact that slaves were being traded because the trade was secret. The reason Celaena is in the port is because her master Arobyn Hamel, sent her there without telling her, her mission. The secret mission Arobyn sent her on was to buy stock in the slave trading company. Once Celaena discovered what Arobyn’s plans were, she was outraged. In retaliation, she decided to free all the slaves on all 20 ships. This feat sounds impossible, but Celaena was not sent on the secret
