To be dubious, to be dependent, to be doubtful is human virtue. It is with doubts that we ourselves can function as humans. Yet, what would happen if we were to have no doubts? If we were wiling to always believe in what is true for us; what would that bring? It would bring us nothing other than change; an impacting revolution on humankind and society. As long as what you believe is true and you believe in that no matter what then that in itself is pure genius. While this may seem like something extremely selfish to do it is the very opposite; instead it is what brings people together to bring forth change. People who voiced their beliefs and shared their thoughts would often inspire this change in various ways; people such as Cesar Chavez. Who believed that the Mexican American working in the farming industry, who were constantly mistreated and paid poorly, should be compensated for their hard work and thus be paid fairly. Despite the many efforts put in before to enforce a labor union, in order for Mexican Americans to be recognized: a labor union was not achieved until Cesar Chavez voiced his thoughts, bought together these …show more content…
This novel elucidated the sadistic mistreatment of African American slaves throughout the 1800’s, bringing attention to belief that no human being should be treated as a slave. This issue sparked a revolutionizing civil war with people who supported the abolishment of slavery (Union) and those who did not (Confederates). With this came the political Republican Party who enforced the abolishment of slavery and supported the Union until it was achieved in 1865 with the creation of the 13th amendment. It was this revolution, bought on by Uncle Tom’s cabinet, that educated the American people morally and changed the way American life and society
