Working through the teaching and learning framework has been a very constructive and impactful process. We have gained insight on key aspects such as: pre-assessment of the learner, educator roles, developmental stages, the variety of ways to deliver materials, methods to assess learning and the importance of evaluation. The knowledge we have gained throughout this procedure will assist us in our future nursing aspirations. We are going to reflect on our teaching and learning performance including our personal outlooks, if our objective was met and include feedback from the learners. It was also very difficult to incorporate all types of learning styles and each domain of learning into a short time frame, however we did try to incorporate the most prevalent learning method of this age group. Although we found this as a challenge, in our nursing careers we are going to be confronted with various time frames and have obligatory teaching we will need to integrate throughout the day. Content evaluation is to determine whether learners have acquired knowledge during the learning experience (Bastable, 2014). We measured content evaluation through the use of the quiz we supplied to the learners, which allowed us to determine to what degree the participants acquired the information. Our teaching efficacy was determined by the learners’ feedback, which is categorized as outcome evaluation (Bastable, 2014). We were ecstatic to have met our learning objective. We reflected prior to our presentation reminding ourselves that it is a learning experience for each one of us and it is acceptable to make mistakes and not know all the answers. Throughout the presentation we felt more confident as our audience was attaining the knowledge we were teaching. We were able to assess their recollection of knowledge through observing our learners become more intrigued and have an increased ability to answer the jeopardy questions efficiently. During our presentation we recognized how much information we obtained through our research, as we were able to respond proficiently to questions asked and not refer back to pre-written material. It was beneficial as educators that we were able to work in a partnership and maintain a professional demeanor between our learners and ourselves. It was valuable and constructive to discuss goals and outcomes prior to this learning experience. We were able to obtain our final objectives of this process with professional collaboration and mutual expectations.
