Are you a person of marked individuality? I want you to take ten second right now to think of three things that make you an individual. According to the dictionary, “the quality that makes one person or thing different from all others,” is the definition of individuality. (Merriam-Webster) No here is the five things that make me an individual. I ask questions, I take the time to sniff the roses when I go for a walk, I don’t blindly follow the masses. I was raised in school that the best way to garner a fuller understanding of Knowledge is to always ask why. My principal at my K-8 grade school would always say the only stupid question is the one not asked. The problem in Fahrenheit 451 is conformity; “action in accord with prevailing social standards, attitudes and practices, etc.” is rampant. The whole culture as a whole conforms to the government.” When thinking outside the box, thinking for yourself, can get you killed, one must think and act accordingly. However to be an individual one must be unique. This all starts back with should you question authority or follow it blindly?
