World war two went from the first of September 1939 to the second of September 1945. The countries that were involved included: USA, Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, UK, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia. Australia changed a lot through the second world war for example the technology advanced to better fight the enemy and keep the soldiers alive. Other changes included such as the social impact on the wives and men that came back from war. After ww2 there was a lot of injuries that needed amputations. To help those people that were missing a limb they continued to make prosthetics. After the war, there was a great demand on vehicles such as automobiles and planes. The bombing of Darwin lead to towns and homes being destroyed, leaving women and children homeless, forced to change homes leaving most of their belongings behind.
