Mackenzie watson The Darkness Speaks Jun 21 As i awoke, what felt like a knife through my skull was the headache given to me by a blow I took at the bar. I could not see anything, my head covered by a burlap sack. “What are we gonna do with him boss?” i heard one say. “What we always do, you freaking idiot!” yelled the other. “Should we freeze ‘em first for later” the first said. “No we do it now, get me the rest of the stock.” I could tell the second man was larger due to his heavier footsteps and deeper voice. “Alright bring me my pot and lid” said the second, “so we will need carrots, cucumber, tomatoes and lettuce.” “Got it boss!” the first exclaimed. What are you going to do to me?” i asked “Quiet now! We will deal with you shortly” the heavy man said. I could only think about the terrible things they are going to do to me. I start to think my life is in incredible danger and start to try and move, just now realising that my arms and legs are bound to the chair i am in. “Let me go!” I scream, though completely ignored. The smaller man comes back and says “I’ve got everything you asked for!” The heavy man takes a minute to respond “You forgot the damn lettuce!!” I hear what sounds to be a loud smack and the smaller one says “I’m sorry boss, I’ll go get those for you” What felt like only but a few minutes pass and he returns and apologizes to the heavy man. “Don’t you worry, it won’t hurt at all” I sit and wait, while an aroma fills my nose with the smell of a roast cooking in the pot. Both men leave the room and I am alone. Suddenly there is a knock at the door and both men come and pick me up and carry me away, then go back to open the door. “Hello! Welcome to my place” the heavy man says. “Thank you for having us! We were so happy when we heard about what was on the menu tonight!” said an unfamiliar voice. I hear the lighter man come into the room and grabs me from my chair, removes the sack and unties me but holds onto both my hands. “Now behave and it will be all fine” he said calmly. As we walk into the room he sits me into a chair around a table with a large feast set out, the new guest says “Oh, so this must be our little visitor.” I sit down and am told to eat, so i do, as do the others. “May i ask whom this is” says the visitor. “He is a person we found at the bar last night,” says the heavy man. “Oh splendid!” About an hour passes and I ask “When will I be able to go home?” The visitor responds with something that sends chills down my spine, “Oh deary, you won’t be leaving anytime
