Chapters nine through twelve proclaims that Jesus is an apocalyptic minister by his ways and words he utilized. The first thing we are thrown into is the Kingdom of God. Throughout the time of the Romans, Jesus preached to the small villages about the Kingdom of God. He proclaimed that the Son of Man will come down and enforce the new age of God. A new kingdom will be built and God will rule over the earth. It’s stated in the book of Jesus by Ehrman that the Kingdom of God isn’t in the realm of heaven. God will descend to earth and take lead on the ground. He's going to build a kingdom where God rules the earth as he does heaven. The Kingdom of God comes with the Son of Man. The Son of Man can also be alluding to Daniel 7. It is the same Son of Man that will come down and overthrown evil, conquer the darkness, and build God’s kingdom. The vision of Son of Man is seen as apocalyptic. The people being oppressed by the government and other selfish people will be vindicated. The twelve disciples would soon join Jesus and form a tight knit circle to take care of the twelve tribes of Israel. The twelve disciples are going to be presented in having roles within the Kingdom of God. This speaks of Jesus’ preachings about the Kingdom of God. His disciples are to give everything and themselves away in order to rule in the kingdom. Some people could say this dates back to Essence or the Dead Sea Scrolls. Their covenant members would give everything away to their community. They were all at the same level to be admitted into having eternal or everlasting life with God. Their group was meant to be the top dogs in religious days. On another note, this could also be described as reversal of fortunes as mentioned above. The last will be first in society. Another thing that outcasted Jesus as an apocalypticist is exorcism. It’s stated Jesus is the best at removing inner demons and doing exorcisms. This is shown as apocalyptic because he has gained some power of God to perform these actions. These powers allow people to believe that Jesus is right and the time is nearing. By Jesus’ performing exorcisms and other miraculous things it pulls the people in and shows them that if God is giving him the power, God has power to do other things as destroy
