The memoir Night was written by Marion Wiesel he routes the traumatic experiences he went through at the Holocaust. The Holocaust happened between the years 1933 and 1945. The Holocaust was created by Hitler and he wanted to “exterminate” the jews race by sending them to concentration camps and torturing them. In Chapter 1 a bunch of foreigner jews were was taken to a concentration camp in the middle of the forest and and they got tortured the dug a huge hole then when they were done digging the hole they would line them up and shoot them one by one and they threw baby’s up in the air and shot them with a machine guns basically for target practice and then some of them played dead to escape the camp then after all this got done the jews …show more content…

They also have to take off their clothes and all they have is their shoes and belts. They have to line up and say what they do and they see if they will be useful and some people go to the left, some go to the right and then elie and his father go to the same place. They are standing and waiting till the nazi’s say where to go next and elie father asks to go to the bathroom and the nazi guard smacks his dad and his dad falls to the ground. While they are still in the concentration camp they make anyone with nice shoes take them off and give it to them but luckily elie were muddy because of the mud. Then they take them somewhere to run and anyone that had to take their shoes off probably are getting blisters. In conclusion memoir Night the jews were not treated like humans they were dehumanized they were burned alive and forced to run and they got shot and tortured. The author of Night was a Holocaust survivor who didn't want to write it for 10 years because he didn’t want to think of that tragic night again but he did it because he wants people to know what hitler did to the
