When given a problem that requires multiple steps, I will try and break down the problem in its entirety and then take my time with it while looking over any examples that were done in class to help. I do not give up too quickly in the beginning, I try to give it my best. However, when I do not get the correct number needed to do a multi-step problem, that’s where I begin to panic. I begin to overthink and question every numbers existence that is given in the problem and if every number needs to be put to use in some formula. After about 10 more tries, my limit is met and my head begins to pound, leading me to step away from the problem and just take a break to rest my head from overthinking too much. Having to use the weight average method to determine the equivalent units and cost per equivalent unit. Compared to a problem that was assigned for homework, on the worksheet Acct 204 Chapter 6 Weighted Average Production Report problem number two. For the test, I tried to find the equivalent unites by taking the units completed (by attempting the units started equation) and adding them to the units in the EWIP that were 60% complete, in which I found by taking the 8,000 units of WIP and multiplying it by 60%. Looking back at the problem now, I honestly have no idea what I was really attempting. It seems like a jumbled mess when I try to observe it. While trying to follow the proper format of finding the total number of equivalent units and cost per those units, I attempted adding the two costs (BWIP and any added) then dividing by the total equivalent units. A part of my mind was telling me that this type of problem that needed Direct Material and Conversion Costs
