In chapter 7, (Vella, 2008) describes how dialogue education can be used in a small group setting using open questions. Also, according to the author dialogue is all the resources you need to begin a small group discussion. Open questions associated with pattern and quantum thinking that require answers to a problem that is associated with a question. It allows for responses to be made and moved from analyzes to connections without disfiguring facts and figures (Vella, 2008). In chapter 8, the designer skills are the main topic. According to Villa, 2008 the design skill comes after the seven design steps. The designer must trust their outcomes of enhancing learning this shows accountability (Vella, 2008). Designers must be aware of information and how it is given. Accountability helps to protect from temptation of giving learners what they will be learning. The duty of the teacher is to allow the learner to learn through their own understanding. The skill refers to the teachers ability tune make learning productive. In chapter 9, it talks about the indicators of learning transfer and impact it states that outcomes, results, and success are three ways to measure learning. The author mansions intentional teaching such as open questions put in a small group. The learning task engages by giving support, it offers a form of safety, demonstrates respect, and provides a challenge. Measured by the behavior that takes place indicates a transfer of learning. Having to open up dialogue using a question and then allowing us to talk about that before a lesson help to provide the teacher a vehicle to show us the way. They provide is the safety if we didn't know the answer one of the other people in the group may know the answer. It provided us support where we could be affirmed in our own abilities.
