Jakob McBrayer Professor K Comp. 1102 March 26th, 2017 This chapter begins with President Nixon going to a secret underground bunker. He seems to be carrying the nuclear “football” with him. Which means something big is about to happen. However, he wants to wait to see what the soviets do. Nite Owl and Rorschach plan to find Veidt, but first, Rorscahch goes to collect his spare costume and the final draft of his journal. After he collects his things he confronts the landlady who slandered his name, but he decides it not worth it to do anything. I think he did this because he saw her son at her side and it reminded him of his own childhood. Surprised the sailor kills them so they don’t blow his cover. The sailor then rides into town dressed as the man he has just killed, and he props up the dead woman on her horse to trick the pirates. I have a bad feeling there are no pirates and this is just all in his head. Nite Owl and Rorschach enter a bar, through some interesting tactics they find out that Vedit’s assassin got the job from Pyramid Deliveries, but anyone connected to the job has since been killed off. Also, Nite Owl learns that Hollis Mason has been murdered. He loses control for a bit but Rorschach calms him down and they head off to tell Veidt what they learned. I find it funny that Rorschach was the one to calm Dan down as it’s usually the other way around. Transition to a cruise ship with Max Shea and what seems to be all the other missing creative minds. They are celebrating the end of some film production. Shea is having an intimate moment below deck when he discovers a bomb moments before it explodes and blows up the ship. I know that this is somehow connected to some big plot, but I still don’t understand how it’s
