One regular night cold and dreary like any other December night in Spokane Washington. A little girl named Ester walked alone near the fairgrounds near town only 5 measly days till christmas day. Ester knew she was heading toward the nasty part of town. Ester reached the nasty part of town feeling courageous till the moon peered down at her from the highest point.
Scared now Ester moved quickly to an abandoned alley where she stayed till the sun was just barely able to peer over the horizon. A loud voice from a man named Floyd “The Puppet” wide eyed Ester scurries out of the alley toward the chilly river, which at this time of the year would be frozen over. Ester ran faster than the wind, which clawed at her on occasion she made it to the other side of the river. Ester grabbed for her pretty puppet Ester then realized that her puppet lay on the crackling ice. Ester hopped back on the ice and jumped from ice block to ice block the tenacity was fantastic. Ester felt more secure now that she was with her pretty puppet. Ester glanced at shore only to find that she was to far from shore to hop back. Ester was finally at peace however she thought she heard a sound a rumbling from the river. A boat was coming to pick her up with Floyd leading a rescue team. Ester attempting to paddle away was then picked up by the scruffy looking man. Ester glanced around the boat the people looked mean. people's eyes all fixed on the puppet Ester struggled to be set free by the man. The man let go of poor little Ester the people then circled Ester and demanded that Ester gives up the puppet. The mob then grabbed and swatted at the puppet untill Ester couldn’t hold . The puppet was thrown into the cold river. Eyes were glancing, whispers were being exchanged, and heads were shaking and Ester decided that she was done with the boat ride so she launched herself onto a nearby ice formation where she felt she
