Atticus is a responsible character in to reasons. The first reason is a father figure for his kids. He’s protective by telling the kids why its a sin ti shoot a mockingbird. He gets scared when Scout and Jem show up at the lynch mob. He doesn’t want the kids to be in the courtroom when the trial happens. He leads by example. He defends Tom Robinson, even if the decision is unpopular. Expects his kids to stand up for what the belive in. He tells them the truth and wants them to tell the truth.He is very honest. He is an honest lawyer, he doesn’t care if he wins or loses as long as he does the right thing. Actually triees to defends Tom Robinson and he follows his conscience. He is least infected by prejudice. He has no problem with the kids
