In the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” each character sings their own unique “song”, some Aubrey 2 love, in a tidal wave of mystery, You'll still be standing next to me.” This shows that Jem would do a lot to keep his family safe, and do whatever needs to be done to do that. Next, Scout was really young when her mother passed so she does not really remember her. This is why Calpurnia is the closest thing to a mother that she has. Scout is still young enough to not know what is okay to say and do, which is the big part to her innocence. The song that Scout would sing is “End of the Innocence”. A part of the lyrics is “This is the end of the innocence.” This describes Scout because at the beginning of the novel she was so innocent but as the story went on she matured, just like Jem. The biggest part of her maturation has got to be when she holds Boo Radleys hand and walks him back to the house. Last, there is Boo Radley, who we do not see in the novel until the end. Boo is very shy and does not talk and does not come outside. He watches Jem and Scout throughout the story, and even puts items in the knothole in his tree for them. Boo is the protector because he saved Scout and Jem from Bob Ewell. If Boo Radley were to sing a song it would have to be “I am a Rock” by Simon and Garfunkel. As part of the lyrics say “I've built walls a fortress, steep and mighty that none may penetrate, I have no need of friendship, friendship causes pain.” This really describes Boo because he does not need a friend and he won't feel pain with not having one. At the end of it all, we all sing our own unique song, just like Jem, Scout, and Boo Radley. Some can be sad, and some can be happy and about how you can help and show
