Logan Forbes, his mother, and his father moved into a house close to Richmond, and Logan was not very fond of the house at first glance. The house had weeds all over it, and it was broken down. Logan learns from his new neighbor Arthur that his new house is not ordinary, it is known as ‘The Murder house.’ There was a lady named Misses Donaldson that lived there before, and rumor has it she was murdered in the house. Logan Forbes showed being adventurous by wanting to help Arthur, his next-door neighbor, find out who killed Myrtle Donaldson. Before Logan and Arthur enter the Magic Forest amusement park, there were signs that said ‘no trespassing’ and ‘Closed for the Season, ’ but Arthur walked right in, so Logan followed. One time, they went to Violet’s house to see if Silas was there. Silas had been in prison, but he was just released. They had three giant dogs, and Logan and Arthur were almost attacked by them. Another time Logan Forbes’ showed he was adventurous was when he and Arthur rode their bikes all the way to town which was about ten minutes. Also, they rode their bikes all the way to the Magic Forest which is fifteen minutes, at night with Danny (Violets son) to try and find the killers’ money he stole. To their surprise, after they dig they find the briefcase of cash. When they turn around, they hear mister DiSilvio and Silas, and it sounds like they have Violet with them. They hide in one of the huts in the Magic Forest and hear the people coming closer. Logan acts like he is fearless when him, Danny, and Arthur are hiding. Silas hits Violet and Danny cannot take it, so he went out and slapped Silas. Everyone there gets into a fight, and Nina shows up. Nina is a police officer under cover, and she says ‘Nobody move, there are police crawling in these woods, so none of you stand a chance.’ Silas ran and the dog, Bear chased him. After Bear runs, Danny, Arthur, and Logan chase Bear and Silas. Logan shows he is dauntless here when he chases Silas knowing there are cops and Silas has hurt many people and been in prison more than once. Logan Forbes’ next character trait is Persistent.
Logan shows persistence throughout the entire story. He is not scared when he and Arthur sneak around. Logan chased Silas out of the Magic Forest into the woods. The woods had cops crawling through it. Logan knew that Silas was a dangerous man and he could hurt him. Even though Logan and Arthur knew they could get hurt; or die, they still went into the woods to find Silas.
