Luke a person who isn’t supposed to exist who fears to get caught by the population police someone who must hide their entire life to not get executed finally meets someone who is also know as a shadow kid, how that person who he meets changes him. In the book Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix, Luke the main character changes from beginning to end in many ways. So in this essay I will talk to you about how Luke changes from beginning to end using three examples. A final thing I will talk to you about is whether or not I would want Luke by my side if I were going through a crisis. So let’s go and explore. There are many different ways that Luke changed from beginning to end. One way Luke changed from beginning to end was in the beginning he always followed his mothers instructions for example in page 1 of Among the Hidden it’s says “then he heard his mother call out the kitchen window: Luke! Inside. Now. He had never disobeyed the order to hide.” But then in the end Luke started disobeying his mother by secretly going to Jens house. For example in page 53 of Among the hidden it says “he could hear the blood pounding in his ears. He moved in a daze. Off his perch. Down the stairs. Into the kitchen.
