In a wrinkle in time by Madeleine L'Engle the main character, Meg Murray develops into an independent, bright person. After a bad day and sitting in her attic in a hurricane, Meg feels insecure and antagonistic. because she beat up a boy in school for calling her brother a freak. Although that's why she doesn't get along with really anyone. Like her peers and principal for asking where her father is. She is insecure because she said to a bear what happened to me. Even though she is antagonistic she said I hate being an oddball. This shows that she is not happy with who she is. It also says people think her and Charles are troubled while Sandy and Dennys are normal children. She takes up for Charles Wallace when no one else will.
