Mama who is one of the main characters is greatly affected by money, she wants to buy a big house and have a big yard for her grandchildren and for her family. Mama also wants to be very wealthy and become a great person to her family. Mama says in the book that money represents her life and her husband is the one who works really hard but doesn 't get enough for mama to be thankful for what she 's got. The money mama gets is symbolized on how hard her husband works for the family. Mama is like Beneatha where she needs someone to help her with her needs and she is also self-pity about herself and the needs of others. Mama is also like Beneatha by her pitty desires and the way she acts, money just makes her happy but she doesn 't spend it wisely. The second character I have is Beneatha who is affected from her education she wants to use money for school which she doesn 't have. Beneath a goes to mama to try to use her money to go towards her actions and thoughts for school and education this is bad because mama needs to tell Beneatha that she is very desperate. The third character is Walter he is very motivating by money so he can have his own liquor store. Walter is very selfish but also he only cares about himself and wants everything to be done by him and he wants everything as his own. Mama who has all the money wants to have a big house and a big hard for the grandchildren but Walter doesn 't want to do that and do what he wants. Walter is also very mean he fights with his sister he calls her names and is just a jerk, he also hates to be a suck up for his boss who he really hates.
