Melody is a young girl who has a mental and physical disabilities, she can 't walk, talk, and has no control of her body. This has made her life very complicated in many ways. Something that is awful about her disability is that Melody is super smart and can 't share this with the world. Melody is mad because her parents and doctors because they think she is just another stupid little kid with no brain. This is truly difficult on her because Nobody is able to understand how smart she is, and why she does what she does. I can’t help but notice the conflict which is, people aren 't able to comprehend that Melody is very smart and able to do things that nobody understands. The only person that understands this is her.

Melody realized that these blocks could be a hazard for the little boy. She tried to express her feelings to her mom but she never understood why melody was doing what she was doing. In the book it said, “ I pointed to the blocks. Mom said, “no sweaty. You don 't need those. You have enough toys”. I pointed again and screeched. I kicked my feet. “No your not going to have a tantrum on me! (16). This shows me that when Melody was trying to help the little boy from the toy, Melody 's mom just figured she wanted the toy and thought Melody was acting like a little brat. If I where Melody I would be extremely upset that nobody is able to understand what I was trying to say. Also when Melody was young was going to the doctor to see what was wrong with her. The doctor was doing all of these tests on Melody to see her capabilities. This mad Melody mad because she was super smart but the doctors weren 't asking questions that she could answer because she couldn 't talk or move correctly.
