Character Essay In the book Michael Vey The Rise Of The Elgen written by Richard Paul Evans. In the book over long times it shows the characters personal influences along with some major growths throughout their time in Peru using teamwork. Michael and the group are still looking for his mother in Peru throughout the journey they discover new technology along with more information on where Hatch has Michael's mother. When Michael learns about his mother's location he starts to show a little more care for all of the other characters. Michael starts to develop a lot of leader skills which shows care. One example of these leadership skills that show care is when they group was going through the hard drive that Grace had pulled up to maybe find a clue about his mother's location, and when they couldn't find little to no information about her location topic. When Michael shows caution he doesn’t expose that he is cautious, but just is. Some of the many examples of Michael being cautious is when they went to Jack’s sisters store and offered to help Michael then responded saying, “why would you help us(31)?” This shows that Michael doesn't really trust a lot of people and is careful if he does. When they were escaping from Hatch Michael set up a fake GPS tracking system that lead to another car(32). Before Jack went to check out the new house Michael proposed the idea that he would leave the car on in case anything bad happened and they needed to get away quick(39).
