What makes certain clothing respectable? By the way they are sewn or by the people that wear them, people have deemed some clothing to be more “respectable” than others. At Seton Hall Prep, students are required to wear a blazer, button down shirt, tie, and pants with a belt. In the short story “Mrs. Buell”, Kate learns that everything is not as it seems through a series of events. When one considers certain factors such as abrupt personality change, encounters with unexpected people, and changes in first impression, it can be seen that there are many things to be discovered that may change our impression of one’s being.
