All parents teach their kids in different ways. In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Atticus the father of Jem and Scout raises his kids very differently than other parents would during this time. Atticus is a good parent because he is very busy but still finds time to spend with his kids. He makes sure his kids are making the right decisions and he gives his kids a good example to follow. One way that Atticus is a good parent is how he gives his kids good advice.”You can never really understand someone until you consider things from their point of view, until you climb into his skin and walk around in it” (Lee 30).
