Our title connects to our story by portraying a dreadful and sad piece that ,in the end, makes the audience realize the meaning of our title. I am the boyfriend of Tashai and I abuse her because I end up losing my way as a man. The loss of my father was the trigger of my downfall because I was very close to my father that it torments me and makes me result to anger and hatred. The story is of a sad, painful, and depressing story because of the abuse and combativeness between myself ,Tashai, and Joanna. In the story, You Should’ve Listened, I am a son and a boyfriend to the other characters in the story. I am the son of Joanna who is my mother, and she is trying to teach me how to be a man while I mourn the loss of my father which makes me lose my way of manhood. However, my relationship towards Tashai is that I am her boyfriend who is very abusive to her because i am angry with myself, mourning the loss of my dear father.What I like the most about my role is being able to show my feelings through the dance and being able to create my(our) own dance moves to connect to our story. What I dislike about my role is how abusive and angry I am at my mother and girlfriend. I also don’t like how long it takes for my girlfriend(Tashai) to finally leave me as she is confused if she should stay or leave.
