A long time ago, before humans, lived gods on the tallest mountain. The god of life, Luthius, was married to the goddess of trust, Tyra, who was a happy couple living in a large bright castle with a vivid and colourful garden surrounding it. Their house, despite being extravagant, felt lonely, as if something was missing. On the mountain, it rarely rained so when it did it was always a big deal. The day Tyra gave birth to her son, Elotl, it just so happened to be raining. Many years later when he was going to turn sixteen, he decided to have a large party to celebrate becoming an adult. The first character archetype I chose was the villain because it’s one of the most common, and easy to include. The three sisters, Vehythi, Ettris, and Ciarae are known to cause problems and when they found out they weren’t invited, they wanted to ruin the party to get revenge. This shows that they have bad intentions against Luthius, Tyra, and Elotl, which makes them the villains. My second character archetype is the innocent. This is a person who doesn’t yet have any moral wrongs. This archetype is represented by the son, Elotl. In my myth, he was determined to invite everyone to his party no matter what other people thought of them, to create equality. This shows that Elotl didn’t allow other people’s thoughts to corrupt his own, and stayed innocent. My first symbolic archetype is heaven vs. hell. This is shown in the description of where the gods and goddesses live. I explained how the god of life and the goddess of truth lived in a nice, lively place with tons of colour and brightness, and the goddesses of vengeance, envy, and chaos lived in a dark, spooky forest at the bottom of the mountain. As my second symbolic archetype, I used water vs. desert. In my myth, I mentioned how it rarely rained, so when it did it was always a big deal. In the story, when it mentioned how the day Tyra gave birth to her son it happened to be raining, it was symbolizing a new life being brought into the world, since water represents birth. As my situational archetype, I chose the task because the story is about three goddesses who have to complete a task to get the ingredient they need to complete a potion. They all went off to collect a different item, to make the creature they so desperately desired and while completing their task, they came across a few challenges like climbing a mountain or taming animals, but were able to conquer
