Throughout Acts 1,2 and 3 the reader can see some of Romeo’s key character traits. He presents immature, impulsive, irresponsible and stubborn qualities through his actions. In Act 2, Scene 2 Romeo hides outside Juliet’s window only hours after meeting her and proceeds to confess his love and they make arrangements to get married. “Whatever a man in love can possibly do, his love will make him try to do it” (II. ii. 67). Romeo acted impulsively in this scene, he chose to stay at the house of Capulet and waited outside Juliet’s window. It was irresponsible because it put them both at risk of being caught.
