Just imagine if you were born with not being able you to do any physical activities. Doodle, also known as William Armstrong, was born just like this. The narrator, which is Doodle’s brother, is very proud of what Doodle has accomplished over the past three years of his rough life. There is a plan for the narrator and Doodle to make his life better, maybe even more than one plan. Doodle is a disappointment to the family, until he does physical activities with his brother.
“More weight,” stated by Giles Corey from, “The Crucible,” before he was pressed to death for witchcraft. Giles Corey was one of the oldest people to be killed during the Salem Witch Trials. The Salem Witch Trials was a series of events that took place in 1692, where innocent people were hung for apparently being witches. The people in the trials were tried in court and the girls who accused them would act like the person or people were sending spirits towards them to make the judges believe them. Giles Corey reminds me of myself by his sarcasm during conversations, always acting ornery, and the comical remarks he makes.
No matter who a person is or what others think of him or her, that person will always have the opportunity to change for the better; Nobody has the power to tell a person what he or she can or cannot do. In the novel, A Lesson Before Dying, by Ernest J. Gaines, the protagonist, Jefferson discovers that he could change as a whole person and finally become a man, even under difficult circumstances. He is constantly discriminated and does not feel welcomed to the society. Throughout the majority of the novel, Jefferson believes he is his own stereotype and takes it to heart when he is being called a hog. Although he knows he will be exiled, Jefferson and his family hopes for a change in his heart.

He’s disdainful when it comes to religion, for example: when Delmar and Pete were baptized, they said all their sins have been pardoned, Ulysses Everett said that the priest is lying to them.

John Proctor is a witch who participates in adultery. John Proctor was the very sole reason for the hysteria in Salem. If it were not for him, the witch trials would have never happened. He could have ended the mass hysteria in Salem by coming out about everything sooner, ending things with Abigail who was, in fact, a minor, and being a man and putting a stop to it all since he had the power to do so. Proctor was initially a well-respected member of the community.

In this letter King shows his great knowledge with the use of rhetorical strategies. The characters in the play “The Crucible,” by Arthur Miller, live in Salem, Massachusetts, which is described as a very small town. Although they are all known as good citizens and would all like to keep their good name, the size of the town allows them to know things about everyone, which then causes suspiciousness, which then causes conflicts for many. Despite the fact that many of the characters faced conflicts, John Proctor faced greater conflicts, such as trying to protect his name and reputation, trying to get forgiveness from Elizabeth, and having difficulty with a mischievous character, Abigail.
The Risking of Lives In the play, The Crucible, by Arthur Miller, people in this book are risking their lives for their beliefs. One character that shows this is John Proctor. He gives up his life for the good of his name. Instead of his confession, he decided that living isn’t important than his name as a good man.
In an MSNBC News Clip, Bill Talen is shown responding to questions pertaining to his character “Reverend Billy.” He is wearing a white suit and collar, has blonde hair poofed up, and forwardly talks about anti-consumerism and the U.S.’s lack of response to climate change. But this man being interviewed is not actually Reverend Billy, he is Bill Talen, the performance artist- or is he? When asked “why did you create this character?” , Talen responds that “[Reverend Billy] was a character I created 10 years ago, but I have gradually become [him]!” and follows with an overenthusiastic chuckle.

It also tells about the lost gothic girl, Anna Cayne, who meets the young high-school aged narrator. Throughout the postcards, a shortwave radio, various CDs, and many other irregular interest.

Theodore Boone Everything is on the line and it is all up to Theodore Boone to catch the bad guy and bring justice to the city. In the novel Theodore Boone The Fugitive by John Grisham Theo must use all of his skills to bring down a most wanted fugitive. Theo is a teenager who has grown up as a kid lawyer and he will do anything to catch a criminal and help out his hometown of Strattenburg. In the novel, Pete could not be caught and put behind bars without the help of Theo’s intelligence, braveness, and persuasiveness.
Character traits help shape a person into what they are, there are ways to change them and become a better person. In the short story Charles, written by Shirley Jackson, a boy named Charles possessed many different negative character traits in which some include being, obnoxious, dangerous, and disrespectful. Charles displayed immature and unnecessary trouble for all the students and teachers. Being obnoxious means extremely unpleasant and Charles was just that in this short story. Charles possesses the trait obnoxious because all the children in the class were trying to listen to the story while the teacher would be unable to read due to the noise.
