Paranoid and tripped on LSD, Charles Manson is finally dead. Using music, drugs, and his guru like complexion, Manson gained followers. He formed his own personal cult, which believed in a racial uprising. One after one victims were dropping dead, by Manson’s instruction. Charles Manson and his followers have the blood of many innocent victims on their hands, making them the worst cult in American history. Charles Manson had a difficult childhood, “Born to a teenage mother, raised by relatives, he’d spent most of his 32 years in reformatories and jails by the spring of 1967” (Gillis 32). Charles Milles Maddox, was his birth name. He was born on November 12, 1934, in Cincinnati. His mother was a 16 year old alcoholic and prostitute, named Kathleen Maddox. Maddox became Manson, when Kathleen married William Manson. The marriage ended very early on, while Charles Manson was sent to an all boys school. Manson was violent from a young age, “From the age of 12 on, Charles was placed in a string of reform schools. At one institution, he held a razor to a boy’s throat and raped him” (Fox n.p.). Manson clearly had some mental instabilities, regarding his ability to control urges. Manson was also known to commit armed robberies and auto thefts. In 1956, Manson got divorced and remarried a prostitute, three years later. This marriage only lasted four years. After getting divorced once again, Manson worked as a busboy, and parking attendant.
