Charles Mason
Charles Mason was a criminal and former cult leader. He went to trial multiple times and was finally put away for life. He was able to get many people to follow his evil cause and help him murder innocent people. Charles Manson is a name that most Americans know. There have been movies and tv shows about him. Even as he is serving his last days in prison there are still updates on his health. People are obsessed with knowing about him. People shouldn’t take so much interest in serial killers because it just gives them more satisfaction.

Their first murder was on August 9, 1969. It was at the home Roman Polanski house at 10050 Cielo Drive in Benedict Canyon, which was an area near Beverly Hills. ( "Charles Manson Biography." Biography) Manson needed someone he could trust to carry out this murder so he chose four of his most dedicated followers. Charles Watson, Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel and Linda Kasabian were the four he picked. Kasabian acted as the getaway driver. The victims that were targeted were actress Sharon Tate, who was pregnant with an eight and a half month baby at the time, Wojciech Frykowski, Abigail Folger; and celebrity hairstylist Jay Sebring. They had returned to the house after going to dinner and then were brutally stabbed and shot to death by Charles Mason's crew of criminals. They had no reason to kill these innocent people. Atkins who was already in jail bragged to another when talking about the murder and said they did it "because we wanted to do a crime that would shock the world. The couple was a supermarket executive Leno LaBianca and his wife, Rosemary. The couple was killed by Watson, Atkins, Krenwinkel and Van Houten. A man who had a connection with Charles Manson gave a tip to the police about the murders he had his people carry out. The trial begins and Charles Mason has carved the letter X on his forehead. Some of his followers did the same by carving an X on their forehead for their trial too. Manson and his crew were given the death penalty, but were later sentenced to life in prison due to California making the death penalty illegal in that state.
