he Charles Perrault’s version of Cinderella’s story starts off by a gentleman who marries a widow with two daughters. He also has a daughter who has unparalleled beauty. Throughout the story the stepmother is mean to her because she makes her own daughters look subpar. The daughter of the gentleman is given a nickname Cinderella for sitting in chimney corner when resting after working like a slave for the whole day. Later on in the story the prince announces a ball and the two elder sisters are invited. Cinderella helps them get ready for the ball but she starts crying, after her step-sisters leave for the ball her fairy godmother appears, after finding out about the problem she grants Cinderella’s wish to go to the ball by transforming animals and a pumpkin into horses, a coach, coachman and gives her a beautiful dress and slippers but she has one condition for going to the ball, Cinderella must be home by midnight. …show more content…

Later the prince declares that he will marry the lady to which the slipper fits. After searching for a while the slipper does not fit any one, but one day when the royal who is conducting the search was at Cinderella’s house insists for Cinderella to try on the slipper and the slipper fits! At the end Cinderella forgives her step-sisters. She marries the prince and lets her sisters live in the palace and marries them on the same day to two lords of the court.
