In Perks of being a Wallflower we see Charlie’s yearning for relationships, one of the relationships that Charlie lacks, but that he is hopeful about is his relationship with his older sister, Candace. Charlie tries to connect with his sister and to establish a relationship with her but because of the differences in the two they were unable to form one. Similar to Charlie, I have always wanted a relationship with my older brother, Brooks. I have never had a good relationship with my brother, in fact, I would go as far as saying that I don’t have a relationship with my brother. Anytime that I have tried and connect with him, he has strayed away from me.
