Bernal Diaz del Castillo Bernal Diaz was born in 1492 or 1498 to Maria Diaz Rejón and Francisco Diaz del Castillo, a regidor (council member) of the town of Medina del Campo, in Castilla y León. The family was distinguished but not wealthy. In 1514, Bernal went to seek his fortune in America with Pedrarias Dávila (Pedro Árias de Ávila), Bishop Fonseca's newly appointed governor of Castilla del Oro. A cruel and unscrupulous schemer, Pedrarias excelled at extorting riches by torturing native rulers, looting gems and gold from their graves, and eliminating potential rivals. (Pedrarias had his prospective son-in-law Balboa and four companions beheaded on trumped-up charges in 1519.)

Jose Antonio Navarro was a very important man because he was involved in the Texas Revolution. He was born on February 27, 1795, and he was sent to Saltillo, Mexico as a young child, and injured his leg that didn 't heal properly which caused him to have a limp. The same year he injured his leg father died from a severe illness. He learned the merchant trade which was his father´s occupation, and has his own trade post, but specialized in Mexican Law. Which didn´t really make any sense.
A colonizer and statesman, Manuel Lorenzo Justiniano de Zavala was one of the most talented and capable of the many native Mexicans involved in Texas ' struggle for independence from Mexico. He was born in the villiage of Tecoh in what is now the state of Yucatan, Mexico, on October 3, 1789. While still in his teens, de Zavala became an ardent advocate of democratic reforms. As a result of his political activism, he was imprisoned in 1814 for three years. When released, he re-entered politics and by 1820 represented Yucatan in the Spanish Cortes in Madrid.
Brett Favre was born on October 10th, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi. In his early life, he had three siblings, and his mom and dad both were school teachers. He played baseball and football during High school. His dad probably is what made Brett a NFL legend, because he was a football coach and Brett’s dad inspired him to start playing football. He also met his future wife, Deanna Favre in high school too.
A man who worked at his family’s company his whole life , has a pretty interesting story to tell about when he got drafted in 1933 . His name is Daniel Capozello. Before he entered the military he had 4 years of a high school education (High school Diploma). First he had to go through a 12 week basic training camp (boot camp).
Francisco Vasquez de Coronado should be displayed as a villain in your museum exhibit. He was greedy and just wanted to get rich and famous. He killed tons of Indians and took their land. And he supported slavery.
Juana Barraza is a serial killer in Mexico. She was born on December 27, 1958 in Hidalgo, Mexico. As a child she had a thought life. Her mother Justa Samperio an alcoholic woman would exchange her to a man called Jose Lugo for a couple of beer. Barraza was sexually abuse; as a result she became a mother at the age of 13.
Quintana Roo state, southeastern Mexico, on the eastern side of the Yucatán Peninsula. Its northern shore is on the Yucatán Channel, a passage between the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea; it is also bounded by the Caribbean to the east, by Belize and Guatemala to the south, by the state of Campeche to the west, and by the state of Yucatán to the northwest. The state capital, Chetumal, is located on a sheltered bay at the mouth of the Hondo River, on the frontier with Belize. Quintana Roo occupies a hot, humid, and heavily forested lowland dotted with cenotes (water-filled sinkholes) and limestone caves.
Spain conquered Peru in 1533 through the exploits of Francisco Pizarro with an army of only 180 men. Pizarro’s military strategy was assisted by simple deceitfulness. Before the Spanish arrived, a devastating war of succession gripped the empire. In 1532, Atahuallpa’s army defeated the forces of his half-brother Huascar in a battle near Cuzco. Pizarro invited Atahuallpa to attend a feast in his honor, and the emperor accepted.
I believe that the group who created the phoenix honoring Leopoldo Flores did the best job paying tribute to him and his work. According to this groups presentation Leopoldo was most well-known for creating beautiful stain glass windows all across Mexico. Many pieces of his stain glass use colors found in Mexico and many of the figures represented in his works are either animals from Mexico or creatures from Mexican folk tale. Many of his works features blues, oranges, reds, and yellows.
Cortez at the age of 14 went to the University of Salamanca in Spain, and stayed there for two years. Once he came back he was eager to go on an adventure, and make his mark on the world. Cortez was given the opportunity to travel with a family of acquaintance, but he had an injury he sustained, which caused him to miss his first opportunity to travel. Then he was given another opportunity to travel, with Alonso Quientero, and this time nothing prevented him from going so he took the opportunity. While he was on this adventure he learned that Quientero was a dubious character.
Contrapasso is a law of nature meaning the crime you commit you must get an equal and fitting punishment. The crime that I chose which I believe has the best fitting punishment is greed. The punishment for greed is told in chapter 7 “ These souls pushed heavy weights before them in the circle, and when they met they crashed the heavy weights together .” This punishment is best fitting because when the sinners were alive they’d either hoard wealth or spent it all. Like Virgil said “These sinners were incontinent when it came to wealth”.
Hernan Cortes was born on 1485 in Medellin, Spain. Medellion was neighbored by Estramuda, which was known for the large amounts of conquistadors that hailed from there (Herrick 130). Estramuda and the surrounding towns were also known for being strong supporters of the estemadura shrine which was the original inspiration for the name Guadalupe. Hernan Cortes first landed on Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti) in 1504, he came with 600 men with the sole purpose of setting an establishing position in the Americas (Hamnett 59).
