Summit Bid “ If you can dream it, you can do it.” - Walt Disney. This quote connects to my story because I have always had a dream to go to The Summit Cheerleading Championship. Now my dream is coming true. It all started at my team’s last practice before our upcoming competition. I cheer at ICE Allstars and I am on the Wild Windz team. We were practicing hard for the competition that weekend, and doing full out, after full out( a full out is where you do the entire routine including all stunts and tumbling). “ We’re doing it again,” our coach Eric yelled. All of us were walking like sloths to the beginning formation of our routine. The wet sweat was dripping down our faces and every part of our bodies! If we didn’t hit our full out, we would have to condition HARD!! One of our other coaches Cisco, would yell out, ”you guys need to work hard if you want the Summit bid*”. Our score was 95.87, which is a really good score and the highest I have ever earned. We also found out that we would have beaten the the first place team if we had not received an illegality*. Our coaches told us they were very proud of our performance and that the team looked fantastic. Coach Kelly told us that we would watch the Summit bid reveal at 7:30pm but until then we had to practice. My teammates and I were very anxious until it was time. Finally 7:30 rolled around and we all gathered together. Coach Cisco played the video for us on his phone. Wild Windz bunched close together to watch and then we saw ICE- Wild Windz on the screen! All you heard was high pitched screaming. My few of my teammates and I were sitting there crying tears of joy. Other teams that were practicing in the gym came over to congratulate us.
